I’ve raved about this show every week and am about to do it again. Each new episode of this show is better than the last and I can only hope NBC is getting the ratings it needs to keep this truly special show on the air. I am fully and completely engaged in the lives of these characters. Scott Porter who plays Jason Street once again was excellent whether he was telling off Tim, discussing his condition with his nurse, escaping for the day from the hospital he spends every moment in or seeing his best friend and girlfriend in an embrace. I still find it amazing that the show has continued his story and has kept it so compelling that we’re pulling for every victory he has. The rest of the episode was about the slippery slope that the coach and Saracen face in maintaining their morals when it comes in conflict with their love of football. Suffice to say they both chose their morals but don’t think that there is anything about this show that is preachy. It’s just a great drama with a cast of mostly unknowns that deserve to be huge stars anchored by the fantastic Kyle Chandler.
I want to reiterate what I’ve written in past columns. If you haven’t been watching this show, you need to start now. It is one of the best on the air.
